As a Forest Practices Officer you are responsible for a range of planning and enforcement activities. To make sure you are supported in this role, we will:

  • set the standards for forest practices, through the Forest Practices Code (PDF 10.7 MB) (which is regularly reviewed)
  • train you to prepare, certify and supervise FPPs which comply with the Forest Practices Code
  • develop planning tools and agreed prescriptions to assist you in preparing forest practices plans
  • provide specialist advice to prepare FPPs involving complex planning issues.
